Basic principles of color sequence for cup printing machine
Cup printing machine has obvious classification for the number of colors to be printed. There are multi-color and six color cup printing machines, which use the three major principles of water oil incompatibility, surface adsorption and dot structure for printing. In multi-color overprint, the process of overlapping overprint in a certain order with monochrome as a unit and restoring it to the original is called ink overprint sequence, or color sequence for short. The arrangement of color sequence of cup printing machine is subject to various conditions. In order to obtain good printing effect, the following basic principles should be followed: 1 Arrange the color sequence according to the brightness of the three primary colors: dark color is printed first, bright color is printed later. 2. arrange the color sequence according to the lightness and hiding power of the three primary color ink. The ink with poor transparency shall be printed first, and the ink with strong transparency shall be printed later. 3. arrange colors according to the amount of dot area: generally, those with small dot area shall be printed first, and those with large dot area shall be printed later.
4. arrange the color sequence according to the characteristics of the original: the pictures and texts with warm tone are printed in black, blue and then magenta and yellow; Magenta is printed first and then cyan is printed for the pictures and texts with cold tone.
5. arrange the color sequence according to the model: the color sequence of the monochrome or two-color cup printing machine is generally the alternation of light and dark ink. The color sequence of cup printing machine is generally black, magenta, cyan, yellow or black, cyan, magenta, yellow.
6. arrange the color sequence according to the nature of the paper: the smooth and compact paper is printed with dark color first and then bright color; The thick and loose paper is first printed with bright colors and then with dark colors.
7. arrange the color sequence according to the dryness of the ink: the ink with slow drying shall be printed first, and the ink with fast drying shall be printed later.
8. arrange the color sequence according to the flat screen and the field: the flat screen graphics and text are printed first, and the field structure is printed later.
9. arrange the color sequence according to light ink and dark ink: dark ink is printed first, and light or spot color ink is printed later.
Due to the different shapes of substrate (plane and curved surface) and the different properties of substrate materials in screen printing, the printing color sequence is also different. For example, when printing on transparent objects, the color sequence should be different, yellow, cyan and magenta. The arrangement of color sequence is of great importance to the color reproduction of the original.
To determine the color sequence of screen printing, two factors should be considered: one is the transparency of the ink used on the substrate, which is the main factor of the two factors; In screen printing, various colors are produced by the mixing or superposition of several inks. If the ink transparency on the substrate is very poor, the ink of the first color will be covered when printing the second color, and cannot be overlapped with the second color to form a new color. The second factor is the difference in the ability of human eyes to perceive various colors.
